http://profilerehab.com/twitter_home has really great Twitter Backgrounds. Their backgrounds also work in the most common screen resolutions 1024×768 to 1920×1200 unlike a lot of other sites.

twitter’s default position for the background image is “top left”, which is problematic as each screen size shows the page differently but not symmetrically. Is there a way of changing the default to “center, so the background reduces in conjunction with the main body?

I followed these links and found, that you don’t actually have to pay to get cool Twitter backgrounds. I found many web pages, which also offer cool and interesting design for Twitter and you can get them for free.

I built some excellent Twitter background templates that you’re welcomed to reference if you’d like. Using my templates anyone can correctly position their images for maximum exposure targeting a wide variety of resolutions.
