What is the scope and advantage of being a designer over developer(one who codes) and at the same time what are the opportunities? Thank you.

I do both, i love being able to create something that looks good and original,
but i also love coding the site and finding out what can be done with the code,
it also gives me a better idea of what i can and can't do in my designs.
Obviously it would be easier and quicker to do one or the other but i like to know
everything has been created by me.

First a designer is the one who make designs coming from his own ideas and concepts, while a developer is the one who develops a prepared idea..Got the point? So for me as a designer it is an advantage to apply my own ideas than to develop other's ideas. Got the word "ORIGINAL". And just follow your heart what you really want to do. Be passionate enough and everything you want to accomplish and it will satisfy you..

I'd say, stick to your talents. If you're an artist, go with designer. If you're a genius who can't draw stick figures, be a developer.
