I'm seeking what are the best standards and guidelines for graphic designers who work for inhouse design agencies? Are there standards for skills? Is there a way to measure ones abilities from poor, to average, to above average? Danny
By standards do you mean "industry" specific standards or an unspoken standard that runs all through-out inhouse agencies? Many times as designers/developers we try to land an agency job, however, coming from maybe freelancing or another company we sometimes fail to realize that things will always be different where we go. In example, one agencies policy's and guidelines for the creation and submission of designs can be completely the opposite of what another agency has put into place.
Now we must adapt and quickly learn the new set of guidelines. Every design agency is different and unique on its own. They also have the right (of course) to test you in your corresponding skill level to make sure you're the right fit for their agency and/or the position being filled.
