Honestly, How Secure is WordPress When Compared to Other CMS Solutions?

This depends on what you're using WordPress for. If you're using it to run your own blog or business website then it's pretty secure as long as you stay on top of updates. But if you're looking to do more than that, specifically the transferring of constant data from different servers and databases then I'd say not really.

Here are a few tips to increase security:

  • lock down parts you don't need/use like xml-rpc
  • stay on top of updates
  • don't use plugins
