“his designs” ?!

He uses OTHER people’s work and claims it as his own. At a forum I frequent, there are at LEAST ten people that have worked for him moved from the States over to Germany to work for him and people telecommute for him that work endlessly for the guy only to get screwed. He does nothing but throw around a God complex and then STEALS from others.

Undue, unjust and unwarranted exposure. There have been better sites using vintage that were around long before 24-7… better sites IMO.

Good list, but don’t forget Eduardo Recife – he’s been doing this forever and his brushes (and fonts) have played a major part in everyone else’s vintage designs.

I would definitely NOT say that 24-7 Media revolutionized any sort of trend. Grunge/Rustic sites were out long before his work was even published. Ingo simply picked up on an already established style.

On a side note, he got in some trouble for ripping people’s textures/assets to use on his site without asking permission. Snagging from Disney is a big “no no”
