16 Inspiring Typography Based Blog Designs

Typography is perhaps the most important element of any site, certainly for a blog or magazine styled site. Good typography should not dominate a page, it should highlight certain areas as well as allowing readers to subconsciously scan the rest of the page and take in the information with ease.

There is no magical formula to generate great and inspiring type, but these sites below seems to know about one. Every headline, every single sentence and all the way down to every single letter are perfect.

Its not a case of wishing you had designed these sites, its a case of wishing you could.

Thanks for featuring my site, Tim. Real shame you didn’t grab the screenshot within a browser with better type rendering engine. Designr looks pretty in Safari and even prettier with Baskerville present (link)

Thanks for the collection. Typography, unfortunately, is a fairly new undertaking by many. The more that start paying attention the better the web will be, especially for people like me that scan pages as fast as possible looking for info.

Did you ever think about creating your very own blog? There are many great platforms, but by far the best is Wordpress. It is fast to set up, however the themes just never fit my specifications. I looked for a simple solution to this problem and realized that there wasn’t one. I then had a template custom made for my needs and was so happy with the outcome.
