I have never heard of that before. Do you have a link to your site so we can look at your code?

Check out Slice that PSD on Net Tuts or PSD tuts. Honestly - slicing seems to be the old school way. Your best bet is to crop the image and paste it onto a new document and save as a GIF or PNG.

I do not understand completely what you are inquiring on? Are you wanting to soley do Graphic Design or are you wanting to learn web design? If you are wanting to soley do graphic design, stick with your niche and build upon it. However you have some experience with CSS, Dreamweaver and Flash, so I assume you want to do web design also. Where are you stuck and what do wish to accomplish? If you are wanting to learn web design, you will also want to understand (x)HTML as well. I use Dreamweaver because it is part of my Creative Suite - but I hand code. If you are using Dreamweaver to help you build layouts, I would not count on DW to soley design your layout, I would recommend learning how code works and hand code your designs. Please be more specific on your inquiry and I will try and lead you in the right direction :)
